South African cbank says no need for banks to use Big Four auditors

JOHANNESBURG, May 3 (Reuters) - South African central bank said on Thursday there was no requirement for a bank to use one of the Big Four auditing firms, hours after Barclays Africa said it has fired scandal-hit KPMG as its auditor.

Barclays decision raises further questions about the survival of the local unit of the global accountancy business.
