BP has no plans to take tankers through Hormuz at the moment -CFO

LONDON, July 30 (Reuters) - BP has not taken any of the British company's oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz since a July 10 attempt by Iran to seize one of its vessels, Chief Financial Officer Brian Gilvary said.

The oil and gas company has no plans in the short term to take any BP-flagged vessels through the strait, a crucial chokepoint for the delivery of a fifth of the world's oil, Gilvary added.

BP is, however, shipping oil out of the region using chartered tankers, he added.
