Brazil not discussing gasoline subsidies, minister says

BRASILIA, June 5 (Reuters) - Brazil is not discussing introducing gasoline subsidies in the wake of a nationwide truckers' strike, Finance Minister Eduardo Guardia said on Tuesday.

Guardia said Brazil has no fiscal leeway to introduce subsidies, though he acknowledged the government could use tax policy to cushion the impact of volatile global crude prices on consumers. (Reporting by Leonardo Goy; Writing by Bruno Federowski)
