CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on boost from financials, GDP data

Aug 30 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Friday, extending gains for a fifth straight day, boosted by financial shares and after data showed the Canadian economy expanded at a surprisingly strong rate during the second quarter.
