CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens slightly higher as energy sector lifted by higher oil prices

June 7 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened slightly higher on Thursday, led by energy stocks riding on the back of rising oil prices.

* At 9:30 a.m. ET (1330 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was up 8.89 points, or 0.05 percent, at 16,192.82. (Reporting by Shreyashi Sanyal in Bengaluru)
