Speculators dial back net short dollar bets - CFTC, Reuters

NEW YORK, March 30 (Reuters) - Speculators trimmed their net short dollar bets earlier this week from their highest levels since August 2011, according to calculations by Reuters and Commodity Futures Trading Commission data released on Friday.

The value of the net short dollar positions, derived from net positions of International Monetary Market speculators in the yen, euro, British pound, Swiss franc and Canadian and Australian dollars, was $21.73 billion in week ended March 27. This was a bit lower than the $21.99 billion calculated in the week of March 20. (Reporting by Richard Leong; Editing by Sandra Maler)
