May 7 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 20:00 GMT on Tuesday:

** BorgWarner Inc said it would take a 20 percent stake for an undisclosed amount in battery module and pack supplier Romeo Power Technology, as the U.S. auto parts maker looks to expand its products portfolio for electric vehicles.

** Vodafone stepped up its battle to gain regulatory approval for its Liberty Global deal by offering rival Telefonica Deutschland access to its enlarged high-speed broadband network.

** Italy's biggest bank UniCredit launched the sale of a 17 percent stake in online brokerage business FinecoBank as part of efforts to bolster the group's financial strength.

** Italy's biggest insurer Assicurazioni Generali has resources for acquisitions and is looking for shopping opportunities in Europe and in the asset management sector, Chief Executive Philippe Donnet said.

** Spanish phone towers group Cellnex may consider a takeover bid for British tower company CTIL, but could not afford to invest in France's TDF after agreeing to buy 10,700 sites in France, Italy and Switzerland, its chief executive said.

** Lufthansa will make an offer for Thomas Cook's German airline Condor with an option to acquire the remaining airlines of the British travel group, Lufthansa's CEO said.

** French tycoon Xavier Niel has agreed a 2.7 billion euro ($3.02 billion) deal to sell mobile towers in France, Italy and Switzerland to Cellnex as he seeks to bolster the finances of his telecoms group Iliad.

** BMW's Chief Executive Harald Krueger said there are no plans for the Bavarian carmaker to take a stake in rival Daimler as the two carmakers continue talks on how to deepen cooperation in the area of autonomous vehicles.

** Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world's largest brewer, is considering listing a minority stake in its Asian operations to create a separate business that could lead consolidation of brewing in the region.

** Edizione, the holding company of Italy's Benetton family, has increased its stake in Assicurazioni Generali to 4 percent, the Italian insurer's Chairman Gabriele Galateri said.

** The Kenyan parliament's transport committee has opposed a proposed takeover of the running of Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) by struggling carrier Kenya Airways KQNA.NR, a lawmaker told Reuters.

** The private equity houses seeking to take over Scout24 said they had built up a 9.69 percent stake in the company as the clock ticked down on their tender offer to buy the Germany-based car and property classifieds group.

** Brazilian healthcare company Hapvida Participacoes e Investimentos SA has reached an agreement to acquire rival group São Francisco Saúde for 5 billion reais ($1.26 billion), a source with knowledge of the matter said.

** Siemens is spinning off its gas and power business, which has dragged on the German engineering firm's performance as the rise of renewable power hits demand for gas turbines.
