Engine maker CFM says premature on cause of Ukrainian plane crash

PARIS, Jan 8 (Reuters) - French-U.S. jet engine maker CFM said on Wednesday that any speculation regarding the cause of the Ukrainian airliner crash in Iran was premature.

"We have no further information at this time. Any speculation regarding the cause is premature," the company which is co-owned by General Electric and Safran said in a statement.

A Ukrainian airliner crashed shortly after take-off from Tehran early on Wednesday, killing all 176 people on board. (Reporting by Tim Hepher; writing by Matthieu Protard; editing by Jason Neely)
