Scotiabank to buy Canadian investment firm for $950 mln

Feb 12 (Reuters) - Canada's Bank of Nova Scotia said on Monday it had agreed to buy investment firm Jarislowsky Fraser for $950 million in mostly stock.

It was not immediately clear if the deal was in Canadian or U.S. dollars.

The deal will add billions in Jarislowsky's assets under management and make Scotiabank the third-largest Canadian active asset manager, the company said.
