Commodities trader Louis Dreyfus reports rise in annual profit

PARIS, March 25 (Reuters) - Agricultural commodities trader Louis Dreyfus Company said on Thursday that “resilient” demand for most of its products during the coronavirus pandemic helped lift its profit last year.

Louis Dreyfus said group net income for 2020 rose to $382 million, from $230 million in 2019, while core earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) from continuing operations came to $1.324 billion against a year-earlier $836 million.
