CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as banks, industrials fall

TORONTO, Jan 16 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
lower on Thursday after reaching a 2-1/2-year high in the
previous session, as declines in the financial and industrial
sectors weighed on the market.
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 was down 20.40 points, or 0.15 percent, at 13,752.18
shortly after the open.
