New York City lawmakers cap Grubhub, other third-party delivery fees

May 13 (Reuters) - The New York City Council on Wednesday passed emergency legislation capping fees charged to restaurants by third-party delivery services including Grubhub Inc and Uber Technologies Inc's Uber Eats.

The new rules are aimed at helping reduce costs for independent restaurants struggling to stay in business during the coronavirus pandemic. (Reporting by Hilary Russ Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
