TURIN, April 15 (Reuters) - Carmaker Stellantis has no plan to reduce its production capacity in Italy and in particular in the Melfi plant in the south of the country, Italian unions said on Thursday.
Last month the head of the FIM CISL union Ferdinando Uliano said the carmaker was weighing whether to close one of two production lines at its Melfi car plant.
However, unions said they are still worried. Stellantis “did not dispel all our doubts and fears”, they said in a joint statement.
