Buckeye says no major damage to Corpus Christi facilities; plant remains shut

NEW YORK, Aug 27 (Reuters) - U.S. terminal operator Buckeye Partners LP said on Sunday its facilities in Corpus Christi have not suffered major damage due to Tropical Storm Harvey.

The company however will not restart the plant until there is clarity on the future status of the storm and the potential for more flooding in the region, a spokesman told Reuters via email.

Equipment is currently being checked out as employees return to the plant, he said.

Buckeye, which operates Buckeye Texas Processing (BTP), including a 50,000-barrel-per-day condensate splitter and a system to handle liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at Corpus Christi, said on Saturday there was minor flooding at its facility.
