PARIS, March 21 (Reuters) - French waste and water management company Suez has proposed its rival Veolia to negotiate on the basis of a firm offer by investment firms Ardian and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), the companies said on Sunday.

Adrian and GIP’s offer of 11.9 billion euros ($14.16 billion) is equivalent to 20 euros per share based on an enterprise value of 15.8 billion euros, Suez said in a statement.

The offer targeted several activities including French Water and recycling activities, as well as several Water and Technology activities at the international level, it said. (Reporting by Sybille de La Hamaide)
