The Company's Local Media segment focuses on local non-political advertising focusing on the immediate geographic area of the stations; national non-political advertising; political advertising, which is cyclical with peaks occurring in its odd fiscal years and particularly in its second fiscal quarter of those years; retransmission of its television signals by cable systems, satellite, and telecommunications companies; digital advertising on the stations' Web, mobile Websites, and applications, and station operation management. As of June 30, 2018, the Company's owned television stations consist of seven CBS affiliates, five FOX affiliates, two MyNetworkTV affiliates, one NBC affiliate, one ABC affiliate and two independent station. As of June 30, 2018, the Company's Local Media digital presence includes 12 Websites, 12 mobile-optimized Websites, and 30 applications (apps) focused on news, sports, and weather-related information.
The Company's National Media segment includes national consumer media brands delivered via multiple media platforms, including print magazines and digital and mobile media, brand licensing activities, database-related activities, and business-to-business marketing products and services. It focuses on the food, home, parenthood, and health markets and is a publisher of magazines serving women. The Company published in print subscription magazines, including People, Better Homes & Gardens, InStyle, Allrecipes, Real Simple, Shape, Southern Living, and Martha Stewart Living among others., and 275 special interest publications. As of June 30, 2018, 20 of its brands are available as digital editions on one or more of the six digital newsstands and on tablet devices. As of June 30, 2018, the National Media segment's digital media presence consists of 60 Websites, more than 60 mobile-optimized Websites, and 14 applications. The National Media segment also includes digital and customer relationship marketing, which provides specialized marketing products and services to some of the United States' companies, a consumer database, brand licensing activities and other related operations.
The Company sells two primary types of magazine advertising: display and direct-response. The Company's National Media segment also focuses on run-of-press display advertising. The Company's marketing capabilities provide clients and their agencies with access to all of its media platforms and capabilities, including print, television, digital, video, mobile, consumer events, and custom marketing. As of June 30, 2018, the Company had 35 of its titles available as digital editions, with an audience of approximately 1.6 million. The Company provides digital and customer relationship marketing, other custom publishing projects, brand licensing agreements, and ancillary products and services.
