Fighters claim to have found him in a large drainage pipe that runs beneath a road. Throughout the video, people can be heard ordering others to "keep him alive", while some shout "God is greatest". Gaddafi's body is now in Misrata. His capture and subsequent death at the hands of interim government forces came as a surprise, as many had believed that Gaddafi was hiding among the Tuareg tribe in the south of the country.
